Just south of Kansas City’s bustling Plaza lies Brookside, a neighborhood known for its winding boulevards, family-owned shops, and a strong soccer culture.

Sporting Brookside is one of the largest and longest-running recreational soccer programs in the region. Started in 1977 as Brookside Soccer Club, the club has grown to serve over 6,000 kids annually. They offer pre-k to high school recreational leagues and summer programming for high school kids. Sporting Brookside works to connect the community through soccer, offering programs and scholarships that allow everyone in the community to participate. It’s grassroots in the best way: local kids, local coaches, local values.

Since 2005, The Roasterie has been fueling this corner of Kansas City with coffee. Their connection to the neighborhood runs deep, and for over 15 years, they have supported Sporting Brookside through the Soccer for the City roast.

The Soccer for the City roast is a medium roast with notes of chocolate chip cookie, lemon curd, and toasted nuts. But the flavor isn’t the only thing that leaves an impression. With every bag sold, 10% of the proceeds go directly to Sporting Brookside.

Coffee fuels the ones who make it all possible—the parents who load up the car before sunrise, track down missing shin guards, and cheer through back-to-back games.
