Women's soccer in Kansas City has grown so much in the past years. Kansas City Current is the women's soccer team in KC and has played a huge role in the transformation of women's soccer. As one of the newest teams in the NWSL, the current didn't just join the league they helped reshape the view of not only women's soccer but women's sports in general. From breaking attendance records to opening the first stadium in the world built specifically for a women's soccer team, Kansas City has become a national example of what happens when a community fully supports the women's game.
